AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Bozzie Hobbs, beloved husband of Carol Cliett Hobbs, entered into rest Thursday, March 06, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the ceremonial detachment at Ft Gordon. Pallbearers will be Chris Hobbs, Blake Hobbs, Derrick Hobbs, Wesley Hobbs, Michael Benefield and Steve W. Morris Jr. Mr. Hobbs, retired from the U.S. Army was a trustee and member of Belair Baptist Church. His family quotes "He was a loving father, good family man who loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great- grandkids and church family. He will be greatly missed." Survivors include his wife; sons Billy (Rosalyn) Hobbs and Tony Hobbs; stepson Steven (Sissy) Morris; stepdaughter Karen Morris; sister Mamie Lee McDaniel; ten grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Lavern Benefield, son Freddie Hobbs; grandson Stephan Hobbs and brother Junior Hobbs.
