GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryne Harper will be 2 p.m. today at Valley Fair Baptist Church, Graniteville, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Coleman officiating. The remains will lie in state in the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will assemble at her residence, 356 Bethlehem Circle at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Harper was an elementary school teacher for 44 years in Aiken County. She taught at Bloomingdale Elementary, Jefferson Elementary and Clearwater Elementary. She was also know for her dedication throughout the community with the New Hope Improvement Association, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and NAACP. In addition, she served at Valley Fair Baptist Church as a former musician, finance secretary, Trustee Board, Missionary Society and two choirs. G.L.
