AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carrie Lou Sharpton Anthony, of Strother Drive, entered into rest on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Truevine Baptist Church with Rev. F. L. Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. She was a native of Richmond County, Ga., a member of Truevine Baptist Church, and a nursing assistant. Survivors are five daughters, Julia Sharpton (John) Pates, Jeanette Griffin, Chesee Grimes, Tammi (Harvey) Cunningham, Bridget (Ronald) Wells, Augusta; one son, James Anthony, Augusta; one sister, Emma Sharpton, Augusta; four brothers, Oscar Baxter, Bennie Lee Sharpton, Booker T. Sharpton, George Sharpton, Augusta; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
