TAMPA, Fla. - Entered into rest Wednesday, February 27, 2008, Mr. Johnny Luke, 76, of Tampa, Florida. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 12:00 noon McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Charles N. Utley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday night, March 7, 2008. Mr. Luke was a native of Augusta, he was reared and educated in Burke County, Georgia. He resided in Tampa, Florida for the past forty years, where he became an entrepreneur as a Painter. Survivors are wife, Lexie D. Luke, Augusta, GA; sons and daughters, Glenn (Pamela) Dukes, Michael Luke and Sharon Robinson, of Augusta, Brenda Ann Gregory, Atlanta, GA, Gary Brown, Richmond, VA, Johnny Robinson, Ricky Robinson, Lonnie Brown and Teresa (Nelson) Bynes, Waynesboro, GA; brothers and sisters, Cicero Luke, Mildred (Johnny) Walker, Augusta, GA, Louise (Mark) Lee, New York, NY, Willie (Thelma) Walker, Augusta, GA; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Beatrice) Dukes, Frank Dukes and James Dukes, all of Augusta, GA; sisters-in-law, Johnnie M.
