AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Sara H. "Sasa" Hamrick age 96, wife of the late James L. Hamrick Sr. entered into rest at Heartland Hospice on Tuesday March 4, 2008. Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Crawford Ave. Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home with Rev. Brian LaFavor officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee, SC. Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Survivors include one son; Jim Hamrick and Terri of Evans, one grandchild Heather Carlisle and her husband John of Nashville, TN. Two great- grandchildren Cole Carlisle and Kaleigh Carlisle of Nashville, TN. A special friend, Mary Jo Thomas of Evans. Mrs. Hamrick was preceded in death by her sister, Lila Huss. Mrs. Hamrick was a retired cosmetologist, she was a long time member of Crawford Ave. Baptist Church and in the Ruth Sunday School class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Crawford Ave. Baptist Church at 507 Crawford Ave. Augusta, GA 30904. The family would like to thank all of Mrs. Hamricks caregivers in the Heartland Village at Elmcroft of Martinez for all of there personal care and love that was given.
