Alan Jackson's Good Times

Special
Alan Jackson returns to his bread-and-butter sound of traditional country music in "Good Times."

THE DISC: Good Times (Arista Nashville)

WHO: Alan Jackson

WHAT TO EXPECT: He returns to his bread-and-butter sound of traditional country music.

THE GOOD: A tribute to his father, Small Town Southern Man. He also dishes on the ability of rural, blue-collar men to get the job done (Country Boy) and joins Martina McBride in a jaunty duet (Never Loved Before).

THE NOT SO GOOD: He does misstep across the abundant album, most noticeably on If Jesus Walked the World Today, in which he defines his favorite religious figure too narrowly.

CHECK THIS OUT: I Wish I Could Back Up, he would like to start his marriage to his high school sweetheart all over again so he could love her "better" this time.
