AUGUSTA, Ga. - Patricia Kay Griffin, an Augusta resident, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008. She was 21 years old. The family will receive friends at The Poteet Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, 706-798-8886 on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Patricia was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She graduated from Cross Creek High School in 2005, where she was very involved in the J.R.O.T.C. program. She attended The Academy of Somatic Healing Arts where she enjoyed learning about massage therapy. Patricia enjoyed music and black and white photography. Patricia Griffin is survived by her mother, Tammy Hastings Zinn and her step-father Delbert Zinn; her father, Nate Griffin and step- mother Jennifer Griffin; her maternal grandparents, Ramon and Darlene Hastings; her paternal grand father, Bud Griffin; her maternal great grandmother, Sarah Burch; her brother, Robert Griffin; her uncles, Michael and his wife Katina Hasting, David Hastings; and her many cousins and friends.
