AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Jessie Thurmond, Jr., 53, of Union St. entered into rest March 3, 2008 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Thurmond was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Jessie and Edith Thurmond, Sr., Aiken; three sisters, Janice Thurmond, Aiken, Gwen Thurmond, Columbia, S.C. and Olivia Thurmond, Decatur, Ga.; nephew, Brian Thurmond, Columbia; and a host of other relatives.
