Nita Creech Mills (ELKO, S.C.)

ELKO, S.C. - A Memorial Service for Nita Creech Mills, 65, will be held four pm Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston. The family will be receiving friends from six to eight pm at the home in Elko. Memorials may be made to the Winfield Height Baptist Church 315 Chester Street Williston, SC 29853. Nita died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at her home. Born in Barnwell County she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Eddie Creech and Leira Ollie Grubbs Creech. She retired having worked as a Rural Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service, formerly served as Captain and Director of the Williston Rescue Squad for more than twenty-five years and was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church. She was married to the late Robert L. Mills. Survivors include her children, David Creech Mills, Sr. and Scarlet of Elko, Jennifer Bouknight and Robert of White, Ga., Phylis McClain and Gary of Memphis, TN.; brothers, Jerry Creech and John Marion Creech, Sr. of Hilda; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
