MILLEN, Ga. - Walter Edsel (Bill) Penndorf, 78, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. He was born in Chatham County and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Pennforf was also a retired farmer and postal employee, member of the Elam Baptist Church where he attended the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Elam Baptist Church with Dr. Maurice Crowder and Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Jongelyn Newton Penndorf of Millen and several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Dudley Clifton, John Roy Clifton, Larry Thompson, Robert Thompson, George Robert Dudley, and Andy Dudley. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Eight O'Clock Coffee Club and the Adult Men's Sunday School Class also including Dale Wiggins, Joe Collier, Randy Johnson, and Don Rich.
