Jesse S. Ward was excited. He had a new girlfriend with daughters ages 3 years and 9 months, he e-mailed his child pornography contacts.
Mr. Ward, 27, of Crawfordville, Ga., didn't know that at least two of his contacts were undercover officers. He had already forwarded them a photograph of an infant about to be raped by an adult male. Mr. Ward told his contacts he should have his own pictures soon, according to testimony and court documents in U.S. District Court in Augusta.
On Tuesday, Mr. Ward pleaded guilty to transmitting an image of child pornography Oct. 5.
FBI Special Agent Brian Ozden of the Augusta office testified that state and federal agents in Georgia, Maryland and Florida focused an investigation of "toddlertodd." They traced the log-on name to an area in Thomson where wireless Internet service was provided and were able to identify the unique number assigned to the suspect's computer.
Agent Ozden said they used a computer surveillance software program to catch the suspect when he logged on to wireless service. About 2 a.m. Oct. 5, they found Mr. Ward sitting in his car in a business parking lot. His laptop was logged on to the Internet, Agent Ozden testified.
Officers searched the laptop and another computer at Mr. Ward's home. They found 968 photographic images of child pornography and 21 pornographic videos of children, Agent Ozden testified.
According to a court order signed last fall to keep Mr. Ward in custody pending the conclusion of his criminal case, he wrote in e-mails about his prior jobs in day care and preschool programs, and of his new girlfriend's children.
"All these emails, pics, and vids are great but I want more than just that," Mr. Ward wrote to undercover agents.
No sentencing date has been set. He faces five to 20 years in prison followed by probation of five years to life.

This is a sick *&^%$ man. This case needs to be enforced beyond 20 years. He should not ever get out. ( i gotta tone down my comments, or they will be deleted)
Let this be a warning to single mothers out there that there are sick men out there who will play you for your affections, make you feel wonderful, and their ultimate goal is to do something nefarious like this. Whether it be to steal your money, your property, or your children's innocence, it doesn't matter to these cold-hearted people. I hope they lock this sicko, deviant away for years! He will never be rehabilitated, it's a proven fact.
This one needs to do some serious time and it needs to be known in prison his offense.
Castrate the freak then put him in jail for life!
Take him out into town square chain him to a pole and leave him to the population. This lower than scum will coninue when he gets out; do something now instead of giving him clean clothes, 3 square meals a day and a roof over his head. If he has done this he has probably committed much worse.
this is another sad story...................and the sick man may get 20 yrs, this poor manhe is sick, has a pic of a toddler ABOUT to get raped by a grown man.......and the courts aretalking about 20 yrs, how about a plea bargain, 5yrs for each pic on his computer and save our tax money kill him for the one of the poor toddler.................our court system is wacked..why don't they make an example out of him......why don't our court systems make a law for harser sentence on these sick people

Who could be sick enough to rape an infant, how is that even possible? What mother wouldn't notice that? I don't get these sick people or what drives them to harm the innocent and defenseless. I don't even think there is a punishment known to man for people like this. Keep your eyes on your children. Thank God I never had to put any of my children in daycare.
I vote for a connection with Georgia Power! He does not deserve to live among normal people, and certainly not with children. I think the courts have an obligation to the public to get people like this off the street forever!
now that i think about it. there weren't any male daycare workers the entire time my children were in daycare. let me say this before anyone attacks me, yes, i know women do the same crime, but men are becoming more prominent in childcare facilities. and it has to be awful for the ones that are genuinely there for the right reasons. just think about this pedophile's girlfriend and children and what they were about to become entangled in. thank goodness this came to pass with (hopefully) no harm done to her children. how traumatic.
Our justice system has to wake up and start putting these freaks behind bars for the rest of their lives. In this paper recently a man that molested a five year old received five years in prison. These people will never be rehabilitated regardless of what you cut off or how long they stay in prison.

I cannot understand how a person can get turned on sexually by a small child, especially by babies. The bible states that such a person should have millstone tied around their neck and cast into the sea. That sounds like a death penalty to me, and guaranties that the will not repeat their sick deeds.
Give him a few grams of Vitamin L, delivered right through the frontal lobe. Why waste any time at all on all the crap? A hundred years ago, our predecessors would've known what to do with this piece of garbage.

Years ago there were two small girls, ( 3 & 4 years old) who were allowed outside without supervision and often came to my house for snacks. The 3 year old was found to have some bleeding inside her panties and it was reported. The 4 year old said the boyfriend of her mother had hurt her little sister. The mother said it was all ridiculous, that the child hurt her crotch riding her tricycle. This happened here in Augusta. I don't know what the final outcome was, but the man was no longer seen in the home. My point is. ..Mothers will protect these monsters.
Children don't ask to come into this world. Children don't stand a chance with all of these sick people in the world destroying their innocence. As parents we have to listen to our kids and notice the differences in their behavior. Child molesters need to be punished heavily for these crimes. Their sentences need to fit the crime. These people hurt these kids, go to jail for a few years, and then get out before the child has reached their teenage years. That is sickening. The law needs to start protecting our kids instead of these abusers. The government spends more time and money supposedly rehabilitating these molesters than protecting our kids!!!

If this were my daughter, I would be the one going to jail because I would do away with this man myself - if my husband didn't get to him first. My daughter always stayed in a private home daycare that my cousin has.
