MUSIC TO YOUR EARS: Sector 7G, the all-ages venue at 631 Ellis St., will have a show featuring A.I. and Joe Graves and the Dirty Left Hand. The music starts at 7 p.m. and costs $5.

SATURDAY

ATTENTION ASPIRING ROCK STARS: Lakeside High School will stage a Battle of the Bands for Columbia County high school students from 7-10 p.m. in the school commons. Six spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Call Annette Shipp with the Lakeside PTSO at (706) 860-4760 or (706) 833-3488 to sign up. The band entry fee is $25 and general admission is $5, and $1 for each extra vote.The winning band gets a $150 prize. The school is located at 533 Blue Ridge Drive, Evans.

CONSERVATION ENTHUSIASTS: A natural resources conservation workshop will be held in Tifton, Ga., at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College from June 8-12. The workshop is open to high school students from 15 to 18 years old.
