JACKSON, S.C. - Graveside services for Mr. William H. "Bill" Curtis, 78, of Jackson SC, who entered into rest March 2, 2008, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in Jackson Memorial Park with military honors. Dr. E. Finley Limehouse officiating. Mr. Curtis was a native of Hayesville, NC, having made Jackson his home for the past 54 years. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran, a Baptist, and worked in raw material as an operator for over 40 years at Savannah River Site. Mr. Curtis was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was husband of the late Ruth M. Curtis. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, John Wesley Curtis, II, Jackson; Quentin Curtis and Jacqueline Parham, Augusta, and Bobby and Stephanie Curtis, Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Kenneth Rich, Jackson; a sister, Dair Curtis, Hayesville; 6 grandchildren, Alicia Nordeen, Tamara Markel, Kenneth G. Rich, Karie Thomas, Jacob Curtis and William Curtis; 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8.
