SYLVANIA, Ga. - David Patrick Lane, Sr., age 82, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Beaufort, SC native was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of WWII in the South Pacific. He was Vice-President of the Farmers and Merchants Bank and was a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a member of the Mack Thompson Sunday School Class as well as the Men's Prayer Breakfast. He served on the Sylvania Housing Authority and was a member of the Brier Creek Country Club. Survivors: Wife: Helen Goff Lane of Sylvania; Daughter and Son-In- Law: Krista and Don G. Aaron Sr. of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-In- Law: David Patrick 'Pat', Jr. and Dr. Marian F. Lane of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-In- Law: Clyde Everett and Jo Ann Lane of Albany; Six Grandchildren: Don G., Jr. and Lisa T. Aaron, Charlie and Leigh Aaron, Mary Helen and Kevin Harrison, Emily Aaron, David P. Lane, III, all of Statesboro and Helen V. Lane of Atlanta; Three Great-Grandchildren: Don G. Aaron, III, William Thompson Aaron and Bennett McPherson Aaron, all of Statesboro. One Niece and Two Nephews. Funeral services: Monday, March 3, 2008, at 11:00 AM, at the Sylvania First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Norris and Rev. Clarence Cannon officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers: Don Aaron, Jr., Charlie Aaron, Kevin Harrison, Philip Ayers, David Lane, III and Bill Hawkins. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Mack Thompson Sunday School Class, Employees of the Farmers and Merchants Bank, Glen Davis, Dr. Bill Kent, Austin Blackburn, Melbourne Lovett, Dr. William Wyley and W.J.
