SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Russell Williams Jones, age 88, of 806 Betty Street in Sandersville, died Saturday night, March 1. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 in the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church near Tennille with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Margaret Jones of Sandersville; two daughters, Cheryl Jones (Mark) Hodges of Sandersville and Gloria Jones (Emmitt) Hall of Deepstep; a son, Russell Williams (Melany) Jones, Jr. of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, Clint Hall, William Hall, Daniel Hall, Carlton Jones, Baxter Jones, Brian Hodges, and Paul Hodges; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Hall, Blake Hall, and Maclaine Hall; and several nieces and nephews. May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
