THOMSON, Ga. - Brian Allen Willis, 26, of Dogwood Drive Thomson, GA, entered into rest March 01, 2008 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Pete Paulson, L.J. Fernandez, Cole Gray, Don Ray, Wayne Wilkerson, Robert Whitfield, Zach Norris and Ivan Crawford. Mr. Willis was born in Augusta, GA but lived in Thomson, GA for many years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. The family said that he enjoyed archery, hunting , fishing, horseback riding, singing and playing guitar. Survivors include his parents: Chuck and Kay Whitener Willis, Thomson, GA; sister: Valerie Willis Hackenberry and her husband Patrick, Thomson, GA; nephews: Jacob and Johnston Hackenberry; maternal grandmother: June Whitener, Augusta, GA; paternal grandmother: LouEllen Willis, Augusta, GA; paternal great- grandmother: Lula Johnston, Augusta, GA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles E. Willis and his maternal grandfather, Charlie Whitener. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church 1424 Cobbham Rd.
