Comments from our readers:

I WOULD LIKE TO RAVE about the Dementia Care Training for Care Givers at Fort Gordon, hosted by Kathy and Nancy from the Alzheimer's Association. Really interesting and informative. Thanks!

THE RECENT PERFORMANCE of The Augusta Symphony should remind us all that we have a great, wonderful asset in that symphony orchestra and in Donald Portnoy, and they should be told how great they are!

WAKE UP, AMERICA! We need a new government.

A RANT FOR YOUR editorial about Murphey Middle School. It is not fair to blame the assistant principal when he is under the direct instruction of a principal. The principal is ultimately responsible for their actions.

HOW ABOUT A RECREATION center for the south side that won't cost any money? The city can just put a block in the runoff of Windsor Spring Road ... and they can stock the waters so there is something for the older people to do. They can fish. Let people have a park and a picnic area there.

YOUR NEW FORMAT is a joke. There was nothing wrong with the way it was.

RAVE FOR THE CHRONICLE. I love the new newspaper. You got a guide in there. It's almost like reading a book now. If you could just shrink it down to where it's almost magazine size you would have a perfect paper. Love the change, love it. Keep it up.

A RANT TO THE person who complained about the paper having too much advertising. Let's do the math, 50 cents per paper is not enough money to pay everyone that works to bring you the news, photographs and those puzzles and crossword puzzles you love so much. Do you think that people just work for free? They have to pay for those puzzles, pay the reporters, etc. If you want less advertising in the paper, then you should pay a lot more for the paper. Advertising is the reason your paper is so cheap.

THIS IS A RANT for the United States Marine Corps. I'm retired from the Marines but I'm disgusted in them trying a Marine in combat situations for murder in Iraq. I wouldn't go over there if you held a gun on me. In Vietnam we did things that made that look like the Girl Scouts.

THIS IS A RAVE to Rebecca at Dr. Chris McElroys' office. Thank you for making us feel like family not just another medical record!
