George P. Cully   (MARTINEZ, Ga.)
Thursday, February 28, 2008

MARTINEZ, Ga. - George P. Cully entered into rest on Monday, February 25, 2008, on a beautiful winter day. George will be remembered as a caring, devoted husband of 36 years to his surviving wife Linda R. Cully. They dated and married while attending Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. As a father of two children, Jorge C. Cully and Jeremy M. Cully, George will be remembered as the perfect example of a father. He taught his children with caring, gentle hands. He shared everything of himself to ensure his sons were well equipped to handle the responsibilities of adulthood and family. Always reminding them to smile because tomorrow will be another day. George is survived by his granddaughter, Haydin M. Cully and a grandson Mason G. Cully. Being a grandfather was perhaps his greatest joy in life and he loved them dearly. He is also survived by his three sisters; Connie Novak of Scottsdale, AZ, Barb O'Brien of Trenton, MI and Sandy Kline of Kansas City, MO. George retired last year after 25 years of employment with Bechtel Power. His family will be welcoming all friends at his home for a celebration of his life on Friday, February 29th, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until the cops show up. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Surf Riders foundation ( www.surfrider.org) in his name.
