AUGUSTA, Ga. - Thelma "Tillie" Mae O'Brien, 79, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:40 am at the Saint Mary Healthcare Center in Lafayette, Indiana. Tillie was born on September 16, 1928, in Lima, Ohio. She was the daughter of William and Loretta (Burden) Boyed. She was an Augusta resident for 37 years, a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, and a retiree of K-Mart in Martinez. On September 29, 1946 she married Robert David O'Brien in Lima, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1991. Survivors include a son, David Patrick O'Brien (wife Angela) of Augusta; two daughters, Sharon O'Brien Elness (husband Bob) of Attica, Indiana and Kathleen Jean O'Brien of Cumming, Georgia; three granddaughters, Becky Elness, Kelly O'Brien and Katie O'Brien and one grandson, Ben Elness. A Rosary will be held Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet and Son. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Ragan celebrant. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
