AUGUSTA, Ga. - Vannie Sue Morris Williams, 86, of Augusta, Georgia, died February 24, 2008 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center. She was born March 3, 1921 in Toombs County. She was a member of the Curtis Baptist Church of Augusta. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Morris and husband, J. C. Williams; her father Lamuel Lucian Sharpe and stepmother, Mattie Lou Sharpe. Mrs. Williams is survived by 2 sons, Larry Williams and wife, Carolyn of Roswell, Georgia, Doyle Williams and wife, Reba of Lyons; one daughter, Martha Carol Johnson and husband, Donald of Augusta; one brother, Jelks Sharpe of Uvalda, Georgia. Survivors also include 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Williams was held Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Jones-Stewart Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Jones- Stewart Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sharpe Cemetery with Dr. Max Hill and Reverend James Aycock officiating.
