Strom Thurmond Career Center Future Business Leaders of America students competed against students from seven other schools in a District I FBLA event in Spartanburg, S.C., on Feb. 2. Winners from Thurmond were: Lizeth Orozco, Business Procedures; Reona Broadwater, FBLA Principles and Procedures; Caquisha Burton, Job Interview; and Tiffany Roberts, Public Speaking II. Second-place finishers were: Bennie Padgett, Business Calculations; Brandy Snodgrass, Desktop Publishing; Jessica Hood, Desktop Publishing; and Kathleen Hill, Introduction to Business. Fourth place: Whitney Brown, Business Communications; Bailie Campbell, Business Math; and Adam Talbert, Introduction to Business. The students will compete in FBLA State Leadership Conference March 14 in Charleston.
