AVERA, Ga. - Mr. C.S. Anderson Jr., 73, of 1615 Usry Rd., Avera, Ga. Entered into rest at his home on February 21, 2008. C.S. was the beloved husband of Venera Usry Anderson for 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Steed and Ruby Templeton Anderson, ans his first wife, Laquita Anderson. His surviving children are Joye A. Dutton (Jim), Janee A. Hodge, Cathy A. Boyd (Judson), George T. Stapleton Jr. (Ellen) and Cathy S. Hadden (Dean). He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Jennifer Hedrick (Matt), Jeff Dutton, Christy Davidson, Robert Hoffman (April), Taylor Hodge, Lindsey Hodge, Matt Boyd, Brittany Boyd, Pete Stapleton (April), Natalie Stapleton, Luke Stapleton, Tommy Matheny and Carmen Matheny. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Kitchens (John), two nieces, one nephew and six great grandchildren. C.S. retired from Southern Natural Gas Company where he worked for 40 years. He enjoyed farming for several years and driving a truck for Howard Sheppard, Inc. until November 2007 when he began his courageous battle against cancer. There will be a graveside service with Rev. Race Lariscy officiating on Saturday 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Irby - McGraw cemetery located at 1515 Usry Road, behind the home of Mr. & Mrs. Pete Stapleton. Pallbearers will be Bobby Williams, Stevie Williams, Keith Holley, Mark Holley, Ronald Russell and Tracey Giddens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church c/o Bobbie Kitchens, 1092 Oak St. Avera Ga. 30803. James Funeral Home, Wrens, GA.
