AIKEN, S.C. - Completed life's journey and answered God's call on Friday, February 22, 2008, Miss Katie Elizabeth Scott, age 95, of Aiken, beloved daughter of the late Wade Hampton Scott and the late Mamie McCormick Scott. She is survived by five nephews, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews. She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked in the old Aiken County Hospital and also the new Aiken Regional Medical Center. She was a dedicated member of the Vaucluse First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was an avid baseball fan and loved all types of sports. She was also a loving Christian lady who will truly be missed by her family and friends; however, there is a consolation in knowing that she is in a better place with no more pain or sorrow. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, February 25, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Gregory officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse. The pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 24th form 6 to 8 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home. Memorials may be made, in Miss Scott's honor, to the Parkinson's Support Group, 2708 West Terrance Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.
