NORTH CAROLINA - Funeral services for Clemson Williams, 45, will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 12 noon at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Gifford, S.C. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Luray, S.C. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday. Mr. Clemson Williams was born February 5, 1963 in Hampton, S.C. to Deacon James Williams and the late Mrs. Virginia Tolbert Williams. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Gifford, S.C. He accepted Christ at an early age. Clemson was under the stewardship of Mr. Willie Deloach and served on the Macedonia Junior Choir. He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, S.C. Clemson attended Midland Technical College, Columbia, S.C., where he received certification as an industrial electrician. He was employed through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, and reading. Clemson leaves to cherish his fond memories his father, Deacon James Williams of South Carolina; a brother, Pastor Paul Williams (Mrs. Hilda) of North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Free Love Bellinger (Mr. Duncan) of South Carolina and Mrs. Linda Bell (Mr. Dewayne) of North Carolina; his nieces, Ambrea, Virginia, Lizbeth (goddaughter), Major, and Madison; nephews, Brian, Derrick, and Brenton; his aunts, Mrs. Rosella "Dot" Pickney (Mr. Al), Ms. Estelle "Betty" Polite, and Ms. Mildred Simmons; his uncles, Reverend Wesley Williams (Mrs. Fannie), Reverend Sidney Williams (Mrs. Sarah Francis), Mr. Franklyn Tolbert (Mrs. Albertha), and Mr. Rufus Tolbert (Mrs. Carolyn); two great aunts, Ms. Candaisy Williams and Mrs. O'Neal Williams; and a host of cousins and friends.
