JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- A Camden County woman is at the center of a federal investigation into an identity theft and fraud scheme with at least 80 victims in two states.

Mary Daniels, 25, of Waverly, is charged in a four-count indictment with conducting the scheme with her husband, James Driggers, 23, of Bluffton, S.C., and her sister-in-law, Amanda Tuyls, 25, of Hardeeville, S.C. The operation was reportedly conducted in Georgia and South Carolina over a three-month period last year.

Mail was stolen from residential mailboxes in Savannah and Bluffton. Using stolen identities, driver's licenses were obtained, credit card and bank accounts were opened, checks were cashed and items were bought and returned for cash refunds.
