HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Reverend Odell E. Carter, husband of Mrs. Frieda K. Carter, of Raborn Rd., entered into rest Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Ron McMillian and Pastor Larry Beam officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ron McMillian, II, Mike Bell, Richard Aenchbacher, Jared Beam, Morgan Jones and Monty Secord. Other survivors include his son, Ron Carter and his wife Adrienne of Evans, Tricia Carter Staley of Greenboro, N.C.; brothers, Robert Nathan Carter of Huntsville, Texas, Allen Carter of Conroe, Texas and Kenneth Carter of Stillwater, Okla.; sister, Vivian Durham of Dewy Rose, Ga.; grandchildren, Mandi Carter, Brent Carter, Seth Carter, Hollie Carter, Haylee Carter and Josilyn Staley; great-grandchildren, Kendall and Hunter Carter. Mr. Carter was born in Upland, Calif. to the late Starling and Christine Allen Carter. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired plumber and a member of Open Door Baptist Church where he served as Minister of Music.
