AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Lonnie Lee Kuehl, Sr., of Boykin Road, loving husband of Mrs. Mary Kennedy Kuehl, died on Saturday, February 16, 2008. He was 66 years old. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, 706-798-8886. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will follow in the family plot at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pastor Nate Dean will officiate. Pallbearers are Jason Borseth, Rod Davis, David Jones, John Wall, Curtis Williford, and Bill Cawthorne Jr. Along with his wife, Mary, he is survived by his sons, Lonnie Kuehl, Jr. and his wife, Kay, of Augusta, Stephen Kuehl and his wife, Melanie, of Augusta, and Brian Keith Kuehl and his wife, Cindy, of Grovetown; his mother, Eleanor Lee Kuehl, of South Dakota; his grandchildren, Preston Kuehl, Taylor Kuehl, Austin Kuehl, Matthew Kuehl, Myranda Kuehl, Mackezie Kuehl; his sister, Marilyn Ann Kuehl; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis H. Kuehl; and his brother, Francis V. Kuehl. Mr. Kuehl was a member of Bethlehem Advent Christian Church in Augusta. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Kuehl worked at the Savannah River Site for over 35 years. He was a member of the Local No. 92 Heat and Frost Workers Union.
