AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Freda Mary Nealous Dent, 72, of Evans, entered into rest Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Second Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Appling, Ga. with Rev. Donald A. Long, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mrs. Dent, a native of Columbia Co., Ga., was a member of the Pierce Grove Baptist Church, Martinez where she served on the Deaconess Board and Women's Ministry. She was formerly employed at Martina's Flowers & Gifts. Survivors are her husband, Richard Dent; two sons, Douglas Dent, Evans and Eric (Andrea) Dent, Martinez; one daughter, Kathie D. (Darius) Holt; one brother, Ruben Luke, Augusta; three sisters, Helen (George) Johnson, Evans, Gladys N. (Dr. Robert B.) Sanders, Lawrence, Kan., Ann N. (Ellis M.) Johnson; five grandchildren, Tevin Middleton, North Augusta, Michael Dent, Breauna Dent, Evans, Lauren Holt, Macon, Ga. and Dylan Holt, Macon, Ga.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pierce Grove Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, C/O Richard Dent, II, 4889 Washington Rd., Evans, GA 30809.
