AUGUSTA, Ga. - On Thursday, February 14, 2008, Margaret Elliott Pickens passed at Augusta Gardens Assisted Living. Margaret attended Haines Normal Industrial Institute, after which attended and graduate from Paine College. Margaret is survived by her two sisters, Vivian Thomas and Julia Williams, Atlanta, Ga.; her aunts, Elizabeth (Mason) Hunt, Jamaica, N.Y.; her two daughters, Sa'eedah Amatullah, Atlanta and Deborah Pickens, New York City, N.Y.; cousins, Richard and Martina Mason, Augusta; her seven grandchildren, Zakiyah, Munerra, Haneefa, Aliya, Dawud, Mujahidah, Atlanta and Mykel, Augusta and her four great-grandchildren, Jihad, Anessa, Rahannah and Tahir, Atlanta. A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 1 p.m.
