AUGUSTA, Ga. - On Monday, February 11, 2008, Gregory McKinney made the transition from life into the presence of God's domain. Greg's friends describe him as a high-spirited, loving and dependable. He was a dedicated and hard-working young man. His affectionate smile, personality, sense of humor, and "God Bless You" often lifted the atmosphere wherever he was. He was preceded in by his mother, the late Mary E. McKinney. He leaves to cherish his memories: father Frederick McKinney, Sr. of Hephzibah, GA; brother, Frederick (Jacqueline) McKinney, Jr. of Marietta, GA; sisters, Shirley (Kenneth) Peterson of Douglasville, GA, Marla McKinney of Hephzibah, GA, and Shannon Donahue of Augusta, GA; grandmother, Alice McKinney of Cincinnati, OH; nephews, Delrico Bedford, Darnell Pritchett, and Brandon Peterson; nieces, Brandi Peterson and Waukesha Peterson; grand-niece, Makayla Bland; great-niece Angel Beason and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be 11: 00 am, Monday, February 18, 2008, at Kinsey & Walton Chapel, with Dr. Willie Jackson, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
