SYLVANIA, Ga. - John Etheridge (Buddy) Whitehead, 78, of Sylvania, died Saturday morning. Funeral services for Mr. Whitehead will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Buck Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday to lie in state until the funeral hour. Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home of Sylvania is in charge of all arrangements.
