Stillman's Bianca Burton fell one assist shy of a triple-double as the Lady Tigers cruised to a 72-50 win.

The Lady Lions lost their seventh consecutive game to fall to 4-17 overall, 4-12 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. Paine lost for the sixth time at Carter Gym since a Jan. 1 defeat of LeMoyne-Owen.

"The things we've been doing wrong are the same things," Lady Lions coach Terence Palmer said. "It's fundamentals. We're not rebounding. We're not boxing out."

Paine entered the game last in conference rebounding at minus-6 a contest. And the Lady Lions once again lost the battle on the boards, 46-37.

Paine freshman forward Latoya Ashley provided an early inside threat with four points and four boards the first three minutes of the game. She also picked up two fouls and sat the rest of the half.

Ashley had three of her team's four offensive boards at halftime. She finished the evening with 10 rebounds, six points and four fouls.

"It's all inexperience, learning how to play," Palmer said.

Senior guard Chantal Murray scored all 12 of her points after halftime to lead Paine. Melanie Ginyard came off the bench for 11 points.

The Lady Lions shot just 36 percent from the field, including a 2-for-12 effort from the perimeter. Senior guard Savoyia Barrett, the league's second-leading scorer, had seven points.

Stillman (8-12, 6-8) won for the fourth time in its past five outings. The Lady Tigers led at halftime, 36-20.

Burton, a senior forward, shot 10-for-24 from the field and scored 21 points, with 12 rebounds and nine assists.

"She's their best all-around player," Palmer said. "When things go bad, they go to her. I'm happy, because this is her last year."

Sylbrena Johnson rung up a game-high 24 points for Stillman.
