AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John Edward Najmola, of Lakeside Drive, died on February 11, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. He was 79 years old. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, Augusta (706)860-0009. The memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. also at The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel. Mr. Najmola was a WWII Veteran, a retired pipe fitter, a life time member of the VFW 3200, a life time member of The American Legion Post # 192, and a member of Local 150 Plumbers & Steam Fitters for 39 years. He was born July 19, 1928 in Rome, New York to John A. Lontz and Josephine Drulik. Mr. Najmola is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Marie Najmola; his son, Edward John Najmola and his wife Mary Elaine Najmola of Knoxville, Tennessee; his daughter, Jackie Najmola Wilburn of Jackson, South Carolina; his grandsons, Christopher Alan Najmola of North Augusta, South Carolina, Jason Leonard Wilburn II of Phoenix, Arizona, Joshua Adam Najmola of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Travis Paul Wilburn of Evans, Georgia; his great-grandson, Coen Alexander Najmola of North Augusta, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Susan Marie Najmola. The family requests that memorials be made to The American Heart Association, 246 Davis Road, Augusta, Georgia 30907. The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, 706-860-0009, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
