VERNON, Ga. - Mrs. Magdlene Edge, 81 of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Mrs. Edge was born in Montgomery County and lived in Augusta for 40 years before returning to Mt. Vernon in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Rainey Cooper Hardeman; her husband, Tillman Edge; and a son, Lee 'Charles' Edge. She was a homemaker and a member of Crawford Avenue Church of God, Augusta. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda Edge, of Jackson, South Carolina; a brother, John Hardeman, of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton. Burial will be in Zaidee Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Treutlen County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may be reached at the home of John and Dorothy Hardeman, 906 RR Extension, Mt. Vernon, Georgia.
