EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Lena Logue Holcombe, 90, died Sunday February 10, 2008 at Alexian Village Healthcare in Tenn. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 14, 2008 at 11 AM at Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Holcombe was a native of Edgefield County and a retired nurse from Broward General Hospital. She was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include one son, Dr. John B. (Gail) Holcombe Jr., Des Moines, IA; one brother, William (Bill) Logue; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Little Stevens Creek Cemetery Fund 1194 Hwy 378 East Edgefield, S.C. 29824. The family will receive friends Thursday February 14, 2008 from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service at the church. Edgefield Mercantile is in charge of arrangements.
