AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Salter Haston, age 87, entered into rest Monday, February 11, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Haston II. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel with Reverends Earl Saxon, Oscar Barrow and Dr. Wayne Hunsucker officiating. Music provided by David Lamar. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Craig Lovell, Tim Lovell, Martin Berry, Tony Berry, Wallace Berry and Jim Brown. Honorary pallbearers are the Trinity Sunday School class and Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Haston was born in Burke County to Luther Salter II and Tolitha Posey Salter. Mrs. Haston lived most of her life in Richmond County where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, February 13, from 7-9 p.m. at Elliott Sons, Lumpkin Road Chapel.
