Students from T.W. Josey High School were among the 261 young people from Richmond, Columbia and Lincoln counties who participated in the Junior Achievement of Augusta's Job Shadow Day on Feb. 4. The Josey students spent the day learning about careers at Best Buy, one of 34 businesses that participated in the program.

Area Food Lion and Reid's stores raised more than $42,000 for the Medical College of Georgia Children's Medical Center as part of its contributions to the Children's Miracle Network. Companywide, Food Lion raised more than $3 million for the charity.
