AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Gloria Reid, 59, of Richmond Hill Road West, entered into rest Friday, February 8, 2008 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 12 noon at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Alton Pegues officiating. Ms. Reid, a native of Eatontown, N.J., had resided in Augusta for six years. She was a former employee of Westminister Schools and was a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, where she chaired the Annual Women's Day Program, served actively on the Usher Ministry and volunteered with the food distribution program for the sick and shut-in. Survivors are one daughter, Michele "Shelly" Reid, Augusta; father, Elwood Taylor, Sr., Eatontown, N.J.; four sisters, Elizabeth Winters, New Jersey, Karen Taylor, New Jersey, Lynda Goodrum, Roswell, Ga., Susan Taylor, Eatontown, N.J.; three brothers, Elwood Taylor, Jr., Ocean, N.J., Keith Taylor, Lawrenceville, N.J. and Richard Taylor, Stafford, Va.; granddaughter, Taylor Samuels; nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
