Firefighters fend off three blazes in woods

Firefighters fought three separate woods fires in south Augusta on Sunday afternoon. One resulted in the loss of a storage trailer.

Two of the fires occurred within a mile of each other, said Augusta Fire Department Battalion Cary Russell. At 2:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the 2900 block of Glenn Hills Drive after receiving reports about fires in the area.

Within hours, firefighters were called to the 2900 block of Byron Place near Windsor Spring Road and Clark Road in McBean, said Battalion Chief Steve Bell. All three fires were contained by late Sunday, he said.

Where is all the news????????????/

Rose

It is a secret.

wandasig97

i know more stuff happened across the area than this

FallingLeaves

wandasig97 Your are right. A lot more stuff is happening than is reported. It's never more than a small sample of the reports. There is not enough time or space in the paper to report everything that happens every day. You would have to go to the records department and ask for the public records if you are looking for something in particular.

You can't please everyone so you got to please yourself

Monday is usually a slow news day. Some reporters take Sunday off for some family time. If something important had happened, something the public needs to know, I feel sure it would have been in the morning edition of the AC>

With this new format thanks to the Aug Chronicle, we are now privileged to have disorganization and no news. Anyone see how it's laid out? Yikes!

sexybrownsugar, who is making excuses? And who is riding around South Augusta killing "peoples" Saturday? We had a guy whose address is listed as Waynesboro, stab the Hartley's off Mike Padgett Hwy, on Bennock Mill Road, who had someone helping him named Lawanda Haskell, who lives in Hephzibah near Fort Gordon and who somehow ended up arrested in a wooded lot where Bungalow Road and Richmond Hill Road meet, which is near the intersection of Gordon Highway and Deans Bridge, so that one location could be considered the southern part of Augusta, not so much the other locations. I would describe Hephzibah, Waynesboro, and Bennock Mill Road south OF Augusta, or southern Richmond County to be more precise. Is that what you are talking about?

FallingLeaves

oh, sexybrownsugar. I don't know who is using your email nick, but based on previous posts, I'm guessing the person lives in Richmond County.
