- Air Force Airman 1st Class Altrecia N. Ricketts , a 2004 graduate of Butler High School and daughter of Andrea Grant of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
- Hollious D. Holt , a 2001 graduate of T.W. Josey High School and son of Arlene Dashiells, of Augusta, has been promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in the Air Force.
- Army Pvt. Dustin McDonald , a 2006 graduate of Cross Creek High School and son of Terri McDonald, of Augusta, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
- Army Pfc. William J. Davis , a 2007 graduate of Glenn Hills High School and son of Carolyn B. Davis, of Hephzibah, has graduated from the Petroleum Supply Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.
