WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Earl Brown, 66, entered into rest Sunday, February 3, 2008 at his home with his family at his side. A native of Toombs County, he was born October 6, 1941 to the late Lennis and Lona Wilson Brown. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He served 2 combat tours in Vietnam. He then worked and later retired as a maintenance manager from the City Public Works Department of Waynesboro. He was a member of the Waynesboro Shrine Club and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Maggie Brown; 4 brothers, Orben Brown of Jonesboro, Ga., Clifford Brown of Waynesboro, Giles Brown and Alan Brown, both of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at DeLoach- Kennedy Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Oliver officiating.
