Ivelyn Dixon Thompson (AVERA, Ga.)

AVERA, Ga. - Mrs. Ivelyn Dixon Thompson, 86, the beloved wife of 58 years to the late James Leon Thompson, and the daughter of the late Homer Dixon and Bashie Miller Dixon, entered into rest Sunday, February 3, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at James Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Robert J. Lehn and Rev. Lester Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Wrens Memorial Garden. Family will receive friends February 5, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral. The family will gather at there family home. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wrens, she was a home maker. Survivors include her children, Darrell (Bobbie) Thompson, Larry (Debbie) Thompson, and Charleen T. (Bruce) Boyd, all of Jefferson Cty.; two sisters, Charlotte D. (Rev. Lamar) Rabun and Delorse D. Williford; 8 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren; and a daughter-in- law, Nona C. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her son, Sherwin Thompson; grandson, Kevin Thompson; two brothers, Denier Dixon and Aurin Dixon; and a sister, Deryl D. Pittman.
