MARTINEZ, Ga. - Suzanne Coffey, loving wife of Larry Coffey and adored mother of Kaitlin and Kylie Coffey, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2008 surrounded by her family at the age of 50. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she attended the University of Wisconsin and was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Employed by the Bechtel Company, she and her husband transferred to Georgia in 1985 and have since made Augusta their home. She is a former member of the Augusta Junior League. Suzanne quietly affected many people with her loving hands and presence while battling her own cancer for over ten years. You always knew when Sue was in the room by her special chuckle. She ministered to others through knitting. In addition to her husband and two children, she is survived by her parents, John Walton Sr. (JoAnn Walton) and Nancy M. Koehler- Becker (John Becker); and two siblings, Mary Walton and John Walton (Maureen Walton) all of Wisconsin. Her nieces, Megan Lanphere and Molly Eberhardt, her nephews, Bradley Eberhardt, Evan and Chad Walton and great- nephew, Wyatt Lanphere also survive her. Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. In lieu of donations, the family requests that you donate platelets through the special blood donation program at Shepeard Community Blood Center or donations may be made to Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, Ga. 30904.
