AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Lamaas Barefield, 27, of Dragstrip Road, entered into rest January 31, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at New Beginning Ministries, Pine Log Road, with the Rev. Raford Roundtree officiating. Interment will be in the Scurry Family Cemetery. Mr. Barefield, a native of Aiken County, was a 1998 graduate of Silver Bluff High School. He attended Aiken Technical College and Edward Waters College, Jacksonville, Fla., where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Survivors include a daughter, Lamia Barefield; his mother, Diane Barefield; his father, Fred Williamson; a sister, Sonya Williamson; two brothers, Marvin Barefield and Andre Williamson; his maternal grandmother, Emma Lou Barefield; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
