Why did they wait until the morning of the election to announce this?
They didn't. Every registered voter impacted has received numerous mail notifications of this change. Well I can't say every but I know I have received it at least 7 times now.
Justus, I am one of the ones affected by the polling place shift and i was notified of the change in writing two months ago. If you will notice, most of the changes moved polling places out of schools. I assume "They" did this for security reasons and to allow voters to avoid the morning and afternoon school rushes, not to suppress the Republican vote in Columbia County...but as a Republican, I appreciate your concern
I personally am glad they are not voting in the schools, especially with children present. Schools are obligated to protect our children and to limit access from unauthorized people. On polling days last year, people were in and out the doors all day long. Something as simple as letting a child use the restroom became a concern because while they would not normally be escorted by an adult to do so, they needed to be that day.
All registered voters received several notifications over the last couple of months. They've done their part, let's do ours. VOTE!
Martinez, thanks for the clarification. I vote at Augusta Christian and am not affected. (as far I know)
Justus, do you even vote??????? Changing a polling location certainly wouldn't keep me from voting and everyone who had a change was notified..boy, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning???
just... conspiracy--conspiracy. be sure to look behind every door. the big and bad are going to jump out and get you. please know what your talking about before you post such outlandish statements.
I think it is a wonderful idea to move the voting out of the schools on school days. This offers better protection for our children.
Time to go vote. Huckabee for me! See ya'll later. Vote your conscience.
I received a notice in the mail several weeks ago.
Vote Huckabee!
Justus, I just received my daily email from the government, they want to know what kind of weather you want them to create for the weekend!
HEY, Justus. I hear they have some openings in richmond county since you are so bothered by us all in Columbia County. Go there and find some problems with them. We DON"T need it here. We are doing just fine without you and your vote. I personally am glad they moved my voting place, it's a lot closer to me.
a question to ponder.. how is it you can be asked to vote on ANY government position within the walls of a church? Does that not seem to cross the boundaries of church and state?
