McCain is a much lesser evil then Clinton, but is a poor choice for president.
This election year could eventually give us a national health care plan that will cost us more and give us less. Just ask the Canadians! That's what you will get with a third term for the Clintons, among other political novelties.
It appears that only one GOP candidate can beat the Clintons, according to every national poll. It seems to me that defeating the Clintons should be the main concern of not just Republicans, but many independents. Sen. John McCain does best in those national polls. I urge your readers to strongly consider his character and credentials, then unite behind him to thwart a third term for the Clintons.
Even our Constitution doesn't like the idea of third terms. McCain has by far more national security and foreign policy experience than any other candidate. As a longtime member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and a career Navy officer with heroic service, it would be hard to go wrong with a McCain vote. Also, his major theme in Congress has always been to cut wasteful spending, particularly pork-barrel politics. He deserves your vote today.

The democratic presidential candidates are not advocating a single payer health insurance plan as the Canadians have. Here's an excerpt from Obama's plan: Obama will make available a new national health plan to all Americans, including the self-employed and small businesses, to buy affordable health coverage that is similar to the plan available to members of Congress. The Obama plan will have the following features:
1. Guaranteed eligibility. No American will be turned away from any insurance plan because of illness or pre-existing conditions.
2. Comprehensive benefits. The benefit package will be similar to that offered through Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), the plan members of Congress have. The plan will cover all essential medical services, including preventive, maternity and mental health care.
3. Affordable premiums, co-pays and deductibles.
4. Subsidies. Individuals and families who do not qualify for Medicaid or SCHIP but still need financial assistance will receive an income-related federal subsidy to buy into the new public plan or purchase a private health care plan.
