SAVANNAH, Ga. --- Jeremy Fears scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures as USC Aiken beat Armstrong Atlantic State 76-67 Saturday in a Peach Belt Conference game.

The game was tied 41-41 at the half before the Pacers scored the first 10 points of the second half and outscored the Pirates 35-26 over the final 20 minutes.

Chris Commons had 18 points, while Cordaryl Ballard and Job Casimir added 11 each for USC Aiken (17-2, 11-1 PBC), ranked ninth in NCAA Division II.

The Pacers shot 53 percent from the field and outrebounded the Pirates 32-30. USC Aiken's Brian Egwuatu grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

Jamaal Galloway scored 13 points to lead Armstrong Atlantic State (11-7, 5-6 PBC).

USC Aiken scored on four consecutive possessions to open the second half, including 3-pointers by Commons and Kingsley Oguchi, to build a 51-41 lead.

Armstrong Atlantic State cut it to 65-62 on a layup by Bobby Ancrum with 4:30 left, but the Pacers hit nine of 10 free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

ARMSTRONG ATLANTIC WOMEN 77, USC AIKEN 65

In Savannah, Ga., Armstrong Atlantic State outscored USC Aiken 48-33 in the second half to come from behind and defeat the Lady Pacers in a Peach Belt Conference game.

The Lady Pacers (12-6, 6-6 PBC) led 32-29 at the half but shot only 30 percent from the field in the second half, while Armstrong Atlantic State (11-7, 5-6) shot 53 percent from the field.

Alandris Griffin scored a season-high 17 points to lead Arm-strong Atlantic State.

Meredith Legg scored 16 points to lead USC Aiken. Avonte Williams and Megan Starnes had 11 apiece.

AIKEN TECH 99, LOUISBURG 78

In Langley, S.C., Gregory Thomas scored a game-high 25 points as Aiken Tech romped to a Region 10 victory.

Five other players scored in double figures for the Knights (17-4, 8-2 Region 10). Lance James added 13, Derrick King and Gabriel Robinson had 12 each and William McLaughlin and Terrance Washington had 10 apiece. Washington also had a game-high 15 rebounds.

SILER LEADS WAY AS JAGS BEAT BOBCATS

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Garret Siler had 22 points, 10 rebounds, four blocked shots and four assists as Augusta State beat Georgia College and State 88-81 Saturday night in a Peach Belt Conference game.


Tyrekus "A.J." Bowman added 17 points, Ben Madgen had 16, Demetrius Howard 14 and Steve Smith 13 for the Jaguars (14-4, 9-2 PBC), who are ranked 10th in NCAA Division II.

AUGUSTA STATE WOMEN 85, GEORGIA COLLEGE AND STATE 62


In Milledgeville, Ga., Augusta State shot a season-high 55 percent from the field to win for the first time at GCSU's Centennial Center under head coach Greg Wilson.


Tracey Paschal led the Lady Jags (13-5, 7-4 PBC) with 17 points. Sherika Parker had 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Deo Ngulela scored 13 points. Jasmine Godwin and Nicole Mealing added 10 points each.

PAINE 72, STILLMAN 66


In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Paine outscored Stillman 44-32 in the second half to erase a six-point halftime deficit.


Joshua Adams and Julian English scored 19 points each to lead the Lions (8-9, 7-6 SIAC). Najee Tolbert added 18.

In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Stillman built an eight-point halftime lead and held on in the second half.


Savoyia Barrett led Paine (4-12, 4-9 SIAC) with 18 points.
