Bills set to play games in Toronto

The NFL map will include Canada now that the Buffalo Bills will play an annual regular- season game in Toronto starting this upcoming season.

Citing the "tremendous amount of interest" the Bills generate across neighboring southern Ontario, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced Friday that the team will play a regular-season game in Toronto in each of the next five seasons.

The plan also includes three Bills preseason games -- one every other year starting this season -- in Toronto during that stretch.

The NFL has played games outside the United States, most recently when Miami faced the New York Giants in London in October. But the Bills will be the league's first team to do it annually.

Goodell sidestepped questions regarding the NFL's interest in basing a team in Toronto.

"That's not our focus right now," Goodell said.

But he didn't rule out the possibility of playing more games in Toronto.

EAGLES: A son of Philadelphia coach Andy Reid was accepted into a drug treatment program and will be released from prison early.

Britt Reid , 22, pleaded guilty last month to driving under the influence of a controlled substance over the summer. But a Montgomery County judge paroled him to drug court and he will likely be released from prison by Monday, prosecutors said.

Under the drug program, Reid will undergo regular drug tests and must show up in court once a week.

SUICIDE WATCH: The ex-girlfriend of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Cedrick Wilson says he encouraged her to commit suicide during events leading to her armed standoff at his home last month. Wilson denied the accusation through his lawyer.

Police withdrew charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment against the woman, Lindsey Paulat . But she waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will stand trial on a new felony charge, discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.
