ORLANDO, Fla. - Mr. Charles Kenneth Martin, 79, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at his resident in Orlando FL. A Memorial service will take place Monday, February 4th at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home at 301 N.E. Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando, 32804 followed by internment with military honors at Glen Haven Memorial Park. He started his career in the US Army involved in both the Redstone and Pershing missle programs. He served 14 years with a honorable discharge then joined Martin Marietta Aerospace in Orlando in 1960 until his retirement 32 years later. Born in Akron Ohio and raised in Georgia, he was preceded in death by his parents, Josh B. and Kathleen Martin; his brother, Skip; and his infant son Kevin. He is survived by his wife Rita and children Kathleen, Carol, Elizabeth and Ken. He has surving brothers Jim and Dwight Martin and sister Donna Jean Carswell. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
