GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Leroy Francis Yegge, of Grovetown, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. A Vigil with Rosary will be held at The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, 706-860-0009, on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. with Fr. Brian LaBurt officiating. Following the service Friday evening, the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's On the Hill Catholic Church, 1420 Monte Sano Avenue, on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Justin Ferguson officiating. Committal services, with military honors, will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Mr. Yegge was a member of Saint Mary's On The Hill Catholic Church. A Veteran of the United States Army, he was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3200 and the Jack C. Fortune 205 American Legion Post, and the 40/8 Voiture 719. He was and avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed outdoor sports. Mr. Yegge was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle H. Yegge; his father and mother; four sisters; two brothers. Survivors include his children, Pamela Weber and her husband, Dan, of Racine, Wisconsin, Rick Yegge and his wife, Diane, of Marinette, Wisconsin, Denise Dotterviech and her husband, Joe, of Baltimore, Maryland, Leroy F. Yegge Jr. and his wife, Rosa, of Baltimore, and Doreen Blaser of Ocean View, Delaware; his loving companion, Ms. Chris Lessard of Grovetown; his sister, Patricia Morphew and her husband, Bob, of Castle Rock, Colorado; his brother, Jerry Yegge of Brookings, Oregon; grandchildren, Ryan Beyer, Grant Yeege, Ciara Blaser, Lisa Williams, Cristie Nardi, Ricky Yegge Jr., Heather Standrook, Jerod Yegge; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Lambert, Peyton Williams, Gavin Nardi, Kylie Rutkowski, Michael B. Yegge, Casey John Standbrook, Taylor Yegge; Ms. Lessard's children, Johanna K. Kearns, John "Buddy", Joseph "Alex", Keip and Angela K.
